Philosophy
The operation of the Meggen golf course follows the motto "high class, but affordable". Quality, reliability and safety were already central concerns of initiator Josef Schuler during the construction of the facility.
Guidelines for the operation
A customer-oriented, appreciative friendliness, a high quality of services, a balanced price-performance ratio, the careful treatment of nature as well as the promotion of biodiversity are the guidelines for the operation of the facility. In this way, a golf operation in the segment of high-class fun and well-being can be realised that neither tips over into luxury nor cheap tourism. Among the regional golf courses, Golf Meggen should stand out as an attractive all-weather option for spontaneous 6- and 9-hole rounds.
Supraregional location advantage
Thanks to the new sports and recreation facility, the municipality of Meggen is improving its position on the tourist map of Central Switzerland in competition with other attractive destinations.
The municipality of Meggen has gained another supra-regional locational advantage and can make its scenic as well as fiscal advantages even better known thanks to the golf course. A golf course and a recreational area in front of the imposing panorama of the pre-Alps with a magnificent view of the world-famous Lake Lucerne are unique; the whole community will benefit from this jewel.
Recreational space is sustainably secured
Thanks to the golf course, the "green bridge" between the residential area of the municipality of Meggen and the city of Lucerne remains. The amalgamation of various former agricultural areas has made it possible for a contiguous green area to be sustainably secured as a recreational space. The simultaneous realisation of hiking trails, measures for nature conservation and golf infrastructure are contributions to the common good of present and future generations. This is especially true because the area and its diverse facilities are also open to non-golfers.
This is how the courses present themselves
